What is TRX Suspension Training?
Born in the U.S. Navy SEALS and developed by Fitness Anywhere®, Suspension Training® is a revolutionary method of leveraged bodyweight exercise. Safely perform hundreds of exercises that build power, strength, flexibility, balance, mobility, and prevent injuries, all at the intensity you choose. We incorporate the TRX Suspension Trainers into our IMPACT classes to allow each individual the opportunity to work at their own level of intensity within the framework of a small group class.
What is a Kettle Bell?
It's basically a cannonball made of cast-iron with a handle on it. It enables us to use it's shape, weight & momentum, plus body leverage to provide a low-impact, aerobic, and full body work-out.
The workouts use full body movements consisting of swinging and pressing...which provide exceptional fat burning, strength, endurance, balance and flexibility. In addition to being a massive calorie burner (due largely to the "afterburn effect"), swinging Kettle Bells is a great way to strengthen your back. It also strengthens your glutes, stretches your hip flexors, develops your back extensor endurance, forces bracing for spinal stability and strengthens your core with ballistic movement. The "afterburn effect" refers to the calories burned POST-exercise to replace the carbs used DURING exercise.
